ESWET Workshop on Plastic Waste - Brussels

The European Suppliers of Waste to Energy Technology`s (ESWET) 6th Annual Workshop took place  16 October 2013 in Brussels. ESWET would like to thank the speakers and attendees for participating. Pictures of the event are available here

50% of plastic waste is still landfilled. How can Europe move away from this? Is Waste-to-Energy a solution to deal with plastic waste? With the Commission’s Green Paper on Plastic Waste now being reviewed by the European Parliament, ESWET organises its yearly Workshop on the question of what to do with Plastic Waste.

Positions were presented by Rapporteur Vittorio Prodi (S&D), Helmut Maurer, DG Environment, Waste Management & Recycling Unit, and Edmund Fleck, ESWET President, after which a panel debate followed.
